Dinners

Children may remain at school or go home for lunch If children remain at school they may bring a packed lunch or have a school meal. Thurrock Council provide our school dinners. Children can choose from three options each day; meat, fish or vegetarian.  They then have a choice of side dishes and a pudding, yoghurt or fruit.  The dinners consist of one item from every food group, giving a balance of nutrients required for our pupils. The cost of a school meal is £2.30 per day. School meals are to be paid online using Arbor. Benyon Primary are no longer able to take cash or cheque payments. Parents are responsible for setting up an account with Arbor in order to pay for school meals. If you experience any issues in setting up or using your Arbor account, please contact the Front Office for assistance.

Should your child be absent from school he/she will be credited with a meal on their return. Parents are encouraged to apply through the school office for Free School Meals for their children if they are receiving Income Support or Jobseeker's Allowance.

Midday staff provide effective supervision at all times for children on the premises at lunchtime.
