How is the programme accredited?
The University of Derby has co designed and accredited the curriculum and will recommend QTS and the University of Greenwich will make the academic award.
How much does the Teach Thurrock programme cost?
Tuition fees:
For the academic year 2024-25 the Teach Thurrock Primary Partnership will charge a tuition fee of £9250.
Resources: you may need to purchase books for your studies (estimate, £150 per year).
Placements: you are expected to pay for your transport to your placements during the year.
Trainees will be given a £10,000 bursary to support their training and this will be fully explained before any placement is finalised.

On successful completion of the programme, the Teach Thurrock Primary Partnership supports each candidate in gaining a teaching post in either one of the partnership schools or in Thurrock. Candidates may be able to take up their post from July 2025 through early start programmes in individual schools but this is negotiable.
