Welcome to Year 3
Welcome to Year 3, as the children progress from Key Stage 1 into lower Key Stage 2, we encourage them to develop their key skills such as: independence, time management, organisation and collaborative learning. Teaching and learning in Year 3 can be fast paced, but it is always exciting and challenging. Our school core values are always at the heart of their learning and interactions with each other. We look forward to working together with you to nurture and support your child, as they move forward into a new chapter of their school life.
Meet the Teacher
Please follow the link below to watch a short video, giving additional information about Year 3. This is in place of the 'Meet the Teacher' meetings that parents are usually invited in for during the autumn term.
Home Learning Covid-19
During the Covid-19 school closure, support for home learning was provided for all pupils in Year 3 via educational websites such as Purple Mash, EdShed, TTRockstars and Scholastic Reading Pro. Should we find ourselves in a position where we have to isolate a particular year group or go into lockdown again, yours child's log ins for all of these websites have been stuck inside the front page of their Reading Record. If you are having trouble accessing these, please contact us on admin.BPS@catrust.org.uk and we will help to get you up and running.
In the event of another lockdown or year 3 having to isolate, further information on home learning will be posted here.
