Year 3
Welcome back to a new year at Benyon Primary School. All of the staff in Year 3 are excited to have a wonderful year.
This year Miss Khan is teaching in 3NK. She is being supported in class by Miss Teeling and Miss Stevens. Miss Kabir is teaching in 3KK. She is being supported in class by Ms Morris and Miss Kaur.
To start our year, for Maths, we have been looking at place value and rounding numbers to the nearest 10s, 100s and 1000s.
For English, we have been looking at the story of Jack and the Beanstalk and innovating it to make our own versions of the story. We have had some amazing writing so far and the year 3 team are really impressed.
Please remember PE days for Year 3 are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. All earrings have to be removed for these sessions.

Welcome to Year 3
Welcome to Year 3, as the children progress from Key Stage 1 into lower Key Stage 2, we encourage them to develop their key skills such as: independence, time management, organisation and collaborative learning. Teaching and learning in Year 3 can be fast paced, but it is always exciting and challenging. Our school core values are always at the heart of their learning and interactions with each other. We look forward to working together with you to nurture and support your child, as they move forward into a new chapter of their school life.
